Altenew | Build-A-Flower: Crocus | Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends!

I’m so thrilled to be participating in another blog hop for Altenew today! I know you’re going to love this new release, so let’s get right into it!

This release blog hop is all about the brand new Build-A-Flower set – Crocus. These images are to die for, so get ready to be inspired. Every time you order an Altenew stamp set the layering guide is included – so you’ll always know how to line up those images perfectly. I find this super helpful, especially when I’m using the stamps for the first few times.

You can also bundle up and save! This Build-A-Flower can be purchased with a set of 8 coordinating ink cubes and the coordinating dies. If you purchase the bundle, you save 5%. There is also an option to sign up for a monthly subscription plan for the Build-A-Flower sets. When signed up, you are guaranteed a spot in our monthly Build-A-Flower releases and will receive a set each month – at a specially discounted price! ($35.00 → $29.99)

For today’s hop, I have created two projects for you to help showcase the versatility of the stamp set. My white-on-kraft card for last month’s Snapdragon hop were a big hit, so I decided to do another one with the Crocus. I heat embossed the sentiment in the center and used one of the crocus layers to repeated stamp a frame for my card. I used a gel pen to draw in some accents and inked the edges for a little interest.

For my second project, I did a bunch of masking and layered stamping in purples and yellows. Then, I die cut a few flowers and leaves and popped them up in front for some extra interest and dimension. I added a crisp black sentiment up top and a sheer ribbon for a touch of elegance. I added clear droplets to the flowers to make it look like dew. I love how this one turned out!

You can check out the video tutorials for both of my cards below or HERE and HERE on YouTube!

Great cards, Jess! This Crocus looks like it is a lot of fun to work with, and I can’t wait to get mine in the mail. I really like your white interpretation, but it is the card with the yellow and purple flowers that melts my heart—-I am a sucker for bold color schemes! Thanks for your inspiration here!

I loved both of what you made but more so the flowers that you did and white on the kraft paper – it is simply gorgeous. I sometimes think that the simplest can look the most beautiful and that made me smile seeing. Great new release.

Gorgeous cards! I love how you “saved” your second card- great idea to die cut the crocus to layer on top! It turned out beautifully! I always like when designers leave their little mistakes in their videos and show their solutions! I, confidently, create cards and scrapbook layouts now, knowing that I can fix almost anything I mess up! Thank you for that!
