i-crafter | Clean & Simple Card Using Die Cuts

Hey crafty friends!

I’m back with another card for i-crafter today! I went with another clean and simple design – can you believe it? I feel like I’ve been doing more and more clean and simple cards lately and I’m really loving the freedom of changing things up as the mood or inspiration strikes me!

For today’s project, I’m sharing a clean and simple card created with the ‘love’ die from the Heart Hands Wiper Insert set of dies. I wanted to show how you can make fun designs with even just a single die cut.

I started by swiping a few Distress Oxides across a piece of white cardstock. I’ve got a video tutorial below or HERE on my YouTube channel if you’d like to see this process in more depth. I used Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean, and Seedless Preserves.

I used the ‘love’ word die to cut multiple of the same word, but shifted the die down each time so that I got a little bit of multiple colors in each cut. This gave a rainbow effect and I’m loving it!

I used my label maker to print out the word ‘is’ twice on clear label tape and adhered those to my white card panel. I adhered each of the words in rainbow order so that my final sentiment reads ‘love is love is love.’

I’m so thrilled with how this came together – it was so quick and easy, but the visual result is so pretty! Cards don’t have to be super complex to be beautiful. Let me know what you think about it down in the comments!

Hugs and love,
