Brutus Monroe November Inspiration Box: Dream Catching

You guys!

Have you seen the new Brutus Monroe Inspiration Box – Dream Catching? I’m positive this is my favorite Inspiration Box to date. It’s incredible!

I’m sharing my first card made using this awesome box today. I made this during a live video on Sunday night – you can check out the replay of the video HERE on YouTube or down below:

To start things off, I used my Mini MISTI to stamp out the insanely gorgeous dream catcher stamp in Raven Black Ink. Then, I grabbed a few beautiful Aqua Pigments. I used Yellow Green, Fuchsia, and Blue Green. They worked so well together! I used the dropper to add a few drops of each color to my Media Mat. I spritzed all the droplets with water and then used a piece of scrap plastic to lift the pigments and place them on my cardstock. This gives you a little more control over your ink smooshing!

Once I was happy with my ink placement, I splattered more droplets using a Splatter Brush and set it aside to dry. Then, I got to work on my sentiment. I tried a few things before settling on the final product. I cut a piece of vellum down and stamped ‘dream big’ in black ink. I used my heat tool to dry it and then colored the back of the vellum using a Copic marker.

I used Craft Glue to adhere the vellum to my card front. I matted the card front with light blue cardstock and then attached it to a white cardbase. I added a few of the flat back pearls from the Birds of a Feather box to finish the card!

I can’t wait to share even more inspiration with you featuring this card kit. I’ll have my brand new series of videos, ‘Jess Rocks the Box’ up this week, so be sure to check it out on YouTube!

Hugs and love to you all,
