Sweet As Can Bee with Jess

Hey friends, it’s Jess from A Card Day’s Work! I’ve got a sweet little card to share with you today.

To get started, I used the honeycomb layering stencil and Distress Oxide ink pads to blend on color. I used Worn Lipstick on the layer with the largest openings, then Picked Raspberry for the next layer.

Once the ink blending was done, I stamped the outline honeycomb image in black ink. I loved the layered effect this gave with the solid honeycombs from the ink blending. I used clear Nuvo Drops on a few of the open areas of honeycombs and set that aside until it was dry.

Next, I stamped the adorable honey jar and bee images on white card stock and colored them with alcohol markers. I used a gel pen to add accents to the rim of the jar and then cut both images out using a pair of sharp scissors.

I popped the bee and the honey jar up with foam tape to give the card a bit of added dimension. I also added some tangled black thread in the lower left corner to add a bit of texture to the card. I finished off the card with the sentiment stamped in black ink.

I hope you love today’s card! It has the sweetest feeling to it and can be sent for just about any occasion. Be sure to let me know what you think down in the comments!

Hugs and love,
