The Hedgehog Hollow | Using Small Images

Hey friends! It’s Jess and I’m excited to share another bit of inspiration with you. I’m using small stamped images to create a card today. I’ll be focusing on the January 2020 subscription box, but you can totally use this technique with any of the small images you have.

To start off, I picked three of the smaller stars from the ‘Given Direction’ stamp set and arranged them in a triangle. I chose Mustard Seed Distress Oxide and started stamping. I wanted to create a little of a cascading sort of effect, so I stamped more densely towards the upper left of the panel and less densely towards the bottom right. I left a little space here and there so I could fill those areas in with my pop of color. I added a few Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide colored stars in those empty spaces.

Once my stamping was done, I grabbed a piece of black cardstock and trimmed it down. I treated the cardstock with anti-static powder, used my Mini MISTI to position the stamp and used Letter It Embossing Ink to stamp out my sentiment. I poured on white embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool.

I attached the sentiment strip to my card panel and adhered a few clear sequins using Lawn Fawn’s glue tube. That thing is so handy! I mounted my card panel on a white A2 sized card base and that finished off my card.

I hope you love today’s project and that you’re inspired to pull out some of your smaller images and get stamping! If you’re inspired to create anything, be sure to tag us on social media so we can see what you’re up to ( @acarddayswork @thehedgehoghollow )!

Hugs and love,
