For this awesome hop, I have created THREE Christmas cards for you! I used the Scrapbook.com exclusives and some great Simon Hurley create. products! I’ve got a video for you below or you can watch it HERE on YouTube.

Here’s a look at the cards I created! I went with an overall vintage feel for my cards. Let me know what you think about them! For the first one, I used the new domed blending tools to apply Distress Oxides to my card panel. I stamped out the Piano Recital background and then crumpled (yes, crumpled!) my panel to make it look old and careworn. I did some direct to paper inking with the exclusive hybrid ink in Cardinal and heat embossed the large sentiment ‘joy to the world.’

For my second card, I used the Piano Recital background stamp again. This time, I used Woof! ink from Simon’s line. I stamped the ‘merry Christmas’ sentiment right on top in hybrid dye ink from Scrapbook.com. I used a Spectrum Noir alcohol marker to color in the word ‘merry’ for a pop of red. I adhered some jute twine and added a cute little bow – that finished my card!

For my last card, I used the Classic Flannel background stamp in Cardinal red ink. I used the nesting star dies to cut out a few stars from my card panel and then popped the panel up with the new foam adhesive (this stuff is gold, y’all!). I backed the panel with some sparkling gold cardstock and added a sentiment from Simon’s ‘Caroling Squad’ stamp set. I heat embossed it on black cardstock and added a few clear sequins to finish off this one.

I know you’re going to be totally inspired after visiting all 20 stops – you’re definitely going to want to create designs of your own, we just know it! Why not enter to win a Scrapbook.com Gift Certificate for yourself?

years ago some of my family decided to stop buying all the gifts and focus on other parts of the holiday. I thought my grands would be upset and they were, but not why you think. they said are we still going to get to decorate your tree. so yes I still put up a tree. we have snacks, make a craft and they get to decorate.

I am loving the piano recital stamp! My favorite card is the one with Merry Christmas. That’s my idea of this season. Telling EVERYONE Merry Christmas and singing lots of Christmas carols. That’s my favorite memory and tradition: singing Christmas carols at church and at home surrounded by candlelight.

You demonstrated so many neat techniques. Thanks.
One of my memories of Christmas is of my brother and I participating with our school mates in telling the story of Bethlehem at our church’s service on Christmas Eve.

Love your cards especially with the music backgrounds. My favorite holiday tradition is decorating holiday cookies with my kids and their grandparents.

Hmmm…I’ve tried 2x already, but my posts don’t seem to be going through…take 3!

Great vid – you packed a lot of tips into ~10 min! I am definitely going to look into that Piano Recital stamp. 1 of my favorite Christmas memories is playing games around the kitchen table after dinner is eaten & all the presents are unwrapped.

Am loving all the great shopping and inspiration of Scrapbook.com’s card parade! Love the variety you are showcasing here too!! Our traditions are to decorate the tree while playing Christmas themed movies, me making 100 cards for all of our friends and family, scrapbook crop with girlfriends and to exchange gifts and an over the top ornament exchange with girlfriends again that lasts for hours!!!! Such fun!

Awesome cards! I really love the Classic Flannel background stamp with the glittery gold stars!
One of my traditions is making a veggie lasagna dinner for Christmas Day! I put it together when I have time and pop it in the oven an hour before we want to eat! It makes a simple meal that I don’t have to stress over!

Good to know that the blending tools are easy to use! Thanks for the tip. A Christmas tradition that I remember as a little one – every year we put tinsel on the tree. The technique was very important as we had to put one piece at a time on the tree…never two! The joys of a sparkling tree!

Even though we don’t celebrate Christmas, we still do Santa for the kids and my son who is 16 now, keeps getting a Hess truck at Christmas from Santa since he was 3 years old. I also get busy making Christmas cards for teachers and neighbors and close friends.

I love your card with the Stars, that reminds me to the star we put on our tree. It’s a family tradition to put up the tree the lasts days of November and my little one puts the star on top at the end, he loves it!

I’m loving the big, bold sentiments! Wonderful cards. One of my Christmas traditions has been to make all of the Christmas cards I send. This style would be fun to add to the mix and not terribly time consuming.
