The Hedgehog Hollow | Why Blend In?

Hey crafty people!

It’s time for another card featuring this month’s peacock themed subscription box. By now, I know you’ve all seen this month’s box and I’m so in love with the projects the team has been creating.

For my card, I decided on some second generation stamping with one of the border images from ‘Feather Borders.’ I used the same image repeatedly, first inking up and stamping directly onto my card stock, then stamping the same image again immediately without reinking. This gives a really cool shadowed effect and is excellent for layering or creating depth in your project.

I stamped out the gorgeous peacock from ‘Peacock Silhouettes & Sentiments’ and colored it with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I used some pretty shades of turquoise, pink, and purple. Then, I fussy cut the peacock.

I grabbed my Mini MISTI and stamped the delicate sentiment up in the top portion of my card. I love how this allows the sentiment to stand out and gives it room to shine. I popped the peacock up on foam for some dimension and gave it a healthy coat of shimmer with the Clear Sparkle Overlay from Spectrum Noir.

I popped the card panel up on some thick foam tape and adhered it to a white A2 sized card base. For the finishing touch, I added a few clear acrylic drops.

Have you created anything with this month’s box, yet? Be sure to tag @thehedgehoghollow on social media so we can always see what you’re up to!

Hugs and love,
