Brutus Monroe | Inspiration Team Blog Hop | July Subscription Items

Hey friends! It’s hop day!

Every Wednesday, the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team hosts a blog hop to share inspiration for some of your favorite Brutus Monroe products. This week, we’re featuring the July Subscription Items. There’s a whole lot of goodness this month, so get ready to be inspired!

To start off my card, I used the Petal Cover Die (Die of the Month for July) to cut a background I had previously created using Distress Inks. I used some Distress Spray to ink the edges of some white card stock and layered my die cut panel on top.

I cut a gate fold card base and scored it to that it opened in the middle instead of on the top or side. I cut my die cut panel in half and layered the pieces on the ‘doors.’ Then, I got to work on the inside of the card.

I stamped out the ‘happy halloween’ sentiment from All Hallow’s Eve and then masked and stamped out some pumpkins from Pumpkin Faces. I used my Polychromos to color in the pumpkins. I don’t use these as much as I should, so this was definitely a learning exercise.

I stamped out the cute little witch from All Hallow’s Even and colored her with Copic Markers. I fussy cut her and placed her on a die cut circle with some ink blending over the Lace stencil. I popped her up on foam for dimension as well. I added a little belly band and attached the witch to it. I added a few gel pen accents and that finished off my card!

Let’s see what the rest of the team has created this week:
