Hey crafty people!
Mother’s day is coming up and the Brutus Monroe Inspiration team is giving you all the inspiration you need to get started making mom that special card! Let’s hop!

I made my background using a gel plate. I used acrylic paints and a brayer on the plate and then laid my paper on top. I peeled the paper off of the plate and this leaves me with my cool background print. Now it’s ready to add extra details!

I grabbed the April Stencil of the Month and some Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I blended on the ink in two area using different pressure to get a darker and lighter effect.

I used the Square Alphabet Die Set to cut out ‘mom’ from brown card stock and popped these up on foam. I added some white gel pen ‘stitching’ for extra interest. I also stamped on ‘you’re the best’ from Simon Hurley’s ‘Dudes Too’ stamp set.

I mounted my card front on a white A2 sized card base and added a few sequins for a bit of sparkle. That finished off my card! Let’s check out what the rest of the team created for today’s hop:
