Heffy Doodle – ‘Hello Squeakheart’ Cheese Mountain!

Hey crafty people!

I’m so excited about the card I’m sharing with you today. This adorable stamp set has been sitting in my ‘MUST USE’ pile since Creativation and it’s been killing me not to use it. I’m so thrilled that I was finally able to pull it out and put it to work!

To start of my card, I did quite a bit of masking. On a white piece of card stock, I stamped out one of the cute mice in Extreme Black Ink from My Favorite Things. I cut a mask from some full sticky post it note and laid that on top of my mouse. Then, I stamped out the first cheese block. This made it look like the mouse was standing on top of the cheese. So cute! I continued this process of masking off areas and stamping additional images until I was happy with the results.

I colored up all of the stamped images with Copic markers (this took a while, but it was so worth it!) This gave me the most adorable cheese mountain and cutie patootie mice peeking out from it. I am totally in love with this scene, you guys! I decided to use the ‘hello squeakheart’ sentiment and I used my Mini MISTI to make sure I got it stamped perfectly on to my scene.

Next, I grabbed the Starfall stencil from Heffy Doodle. I used ‘Slippery When Wet’ dye ink from Simon Hurley’s new line and blended it on with a mini ink blending tool. I was careful to be soft handed with my blending and I let the color fade out in some areas to keep it light and not too distracting.

I popped my card front up on some foam tape for dimension and added it to a grey A2 sized card base. I added a few clear sequins to give it a little bit of sparkle and that finished off my card!

I love the way this one turned out and I can’t wait to share another project using this stamp set tomorrow!

Hugs and love, y’all,
