It’s time for another Wednesday hop with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team. Hooray! This week we’re all featuring different ways to use the dies found at Brutus Monroe. This includes stand alone dies as well as coordinating dies for stamp sets.
For my project, I used the coordinating dies from the Butterfly Sentiments 2.0 set. I cut all four of the butterflies in a line from a strip of white card stock. I used this strip to layer on top of a background I made using aqua pigments on the Gel Press. I think it turned out really cool!
I layered the die cut strip of card stock over my background and used my Mini MISTI to stamp in the coordinating butterfly images in black ink. I love how crisp and detailed they are. It really makes the pink and blue background pop!
I stamped the sentiment using black ink and chose a second sentiment as well. For this one, I heat embossed with Alabaster Embossing Powder on black card stock and popped it up on foam. I added some black thread behind the sentiment for added interest.
I also added a strip of black and white striped card stock along the left edge and finished off my card with some clear sequins. I just love how it turned out – I hope you do, too! Now let’s check out what the rest of the team created for this week’s hop!
