Hey friends!
It’s time for another Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Hop. Today’s theme is Surface Inks. We’ll be showcasing different ways you can put your collection of mini ink cubes to work!
For my card today, I chose to do some ink blending with my Surface Inks. Before I got started with my blending, though, I did a little heat embossing. I grabbed a few leaf images from Autumn Sunrise and stamped them on to white cardstock. I arranged them so that there were more leaves at the top and fewer leaves as you get closer to the bottom. This made it feel like the leaves were falling down the card. Cool!
I used Alabaster Embossing Powder to emboss the leaf images and then started on my blending. I chose Plum, Aubergine, and Heather. I really love that you can get a nice blend with these inks.
I layered a piece of vellum over my ink blended background to help mute the busy pattern, then die cut the ‘hello’ die from glitter stock. I adhered this to my card panel and then used some light purple baker’s twine around my card panel.
I popped the panel up on foam tape and added a few clear sequins to finish off my card. I mounted it all on a white top folding card base and that’s it. My card is done!
Let’s check out what the rest of the team has in store for you today!
