I’m back with another card for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge (109). I love this color combo, so I decided to make another card!
I started by ink blending some Distress Inks on to a piece of white card stock. I used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, and Twisted Citron for this. Once my blending was done, I grabbed the new Lots of Heart stencil and some translucent embossing paste. With a palette knife, I covered the stencil and ink blended panel with the paste, gently removed my stencil, and then set the panel aside to dry.
Then, I stamped and colored some adorable images from Cute Chemists. These little beakers are just too cute! I added Glossy Accents to these to help give the appearance of glass on the beakers.
Next, I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment on black card stock. I also cut a strip from the background panel I created in my last card for this color challenge and used it as a layering piece for my design. I layered up the background strip and sentiment strip near the bottom and then added my beakers on top.
I mounted the card panel on to a piece of foam for dimension and adhered all of this to my white card base. I decided to leave the rest of the card alone because I wanted the focus to stay on those cute beakers and the adorable heart background.
Have you joined in on this challenge yet? There’s still time! Head on over and check it out. Hugs and love,https://linkdeli.com/widget.js?1547205749476
