Hey crafty friends!
It’s Wednesday and you know what that means – another Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team hop. Yay! This week’s theme is Glitter Drops, so we’re all showcasing ways to incorporate these fun little globs of glitter into your projects. I know you’re going to love what we’ve created!
For my card, I wanted to use the Glitter Drops in a less straightforward way. I decided to create a background using the Silver Glitter Drops. I squirted a line of the drops on to my white card stock and then used an old gift card to swipe the drops straight down my card stock. This gave me a cool block of silver glitter for my background. I love the imperfection of it and how it’s not a perfect rectangle, especially at the bottom.
I used the Sprinkled with Love stamp set for the adorable ice cream image as well as the sentiment. I colored the ice cream with Copic markers and fussy cut it (and my sentiment). I popped my sentiment up on foam and added a tangle of hot pink twine underneath.
To make my card a perfect color match, I used Rouge Surface Ink to swipe the edges of my mat piece before adhering the card front. I have been loving this technique lately! To finish off my card, I used a few hot pink sequins for a little extra shine.
Let’s keep hopping and see what the rest of the team has in store for you!
