Hey y’all!
I’m excited to share two cards with you today. This collection by Sharyn Sowell is crazy cool. These are the coolest detailed dies – they are so unique and have so much character! I made two similar cards, but the end result is so different! For my projects today, I used the Sweet Letters Etched Dies.
For my first card, I used a black piece of cardstock for my background. I cut the die in white and adhered it to my background. I layered a piece of pink paper for a pop of color over the bottom. I heat embossed the sentiment, ‘sending you only the best’ and added a few hearts, too. I tied a cute little bow around it with Gift Twine from Fun Stampers Journey. I finished off the card with a few small, clear sequins.
The second card is very similar, but before I die cut from my cardstock – I used Aqua Pigments to create a cool gradient pattern. I used Yellow, Orange, and Red Aqua Pigments from Brutus Monroe for this. Once my panel dried, I did my die cutting and adhered it to a white card base. I stamped ‘wishing’ in black ink and the cut a piece of black cardstock for the second part of the sentiment, ‘we lived closer because I miss you.’ I heat embossed this part of the sentiment and popped it up on foam for dimension.
I love how different these two cards are, but they were very similar to make. My favorite kinds of stamps and dies are the ones you can use in many different ways!
Hugs and love to you all,
These are beautiful cards, what a great die 😊
