Next, I cut a mask for my sheep. I masked off the sheep and the picture frame and used the adorable Neat & Tangled ‘Fa La La Stencil’ to create a background within the framed area. I used Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, and Spun Sugar Distress Inks for this. I love that ombre effect!
Once my ink blending was done, I pulled out a few Copic markers and colored up my sheep. I wanted to keep this card pretty simple overall, so I didn’t go crazy with extra colors or fancy blending.
I picked out some super cute patterned paper from Lawn Fawn and used that as a mat for my picture frame. I also s tamped the sentiment ‘Happy fa la la la la’ on the bottom of the picture. I used two sentiments from My Favorite Things’ ‘Trim the Tree’ set to create that sentiment. I thought it fit so perfectly with our singing sheep.
I popped the picture frame up on foam for some added dimension and tied some purple and white baker’s twine around the bottom. A cute little bow, too, of course! Then, I finished off the card with some coordinating sequins for a bit of sparkle.
I absolutely love how this came out and I keep going back to look at it again and again. It makes me smile! I hope it does the same for you.
Hugs and love to you all,
