Hey y’all!
It’s time for another awesome hop with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team. Hooray! This week’s theme is totally amazing – ‘Honey, I Shrunk the Cards!’ We are all featuring fun projects using Brutus Monroe Premium Shrink Film. This stuff is magical, y’all!
For my project, I decided to make a charm bracelet. To make it even more special, I actually used stamps from each Inspiration Box I’ve received so far on my Journey with Brutus Monroe. My bracelet has three charms so far, but I’ll be able to add a new charm with each Inspiration Box I get! I thought that was a super fun way to celebrate the gorgeous stamps each month.
I stamped out each of my images directly on the shrink film. I used the Raven Detail Ink, but keep in mind this ink takes a very long time to dry on the shrink film, so if you’re short on time – try using another ink. I cut each stamped image out using my scissors and then punched a hole for my jump rings to go through (so I could attach them to my bracelet!).
I used a wooden clipboard and a pair of tweezers while melting my shrink film. I used my Heat Tool and steadied the film with my tweezers. This kept the film from blowing away while I was trying to melt it. Once all of my charms were down to size, I colored them using Copic markers, but nothing fancy! Then, I added jump rings and attached them to a plain chain. I added the lobster claw clasp and that completed my bracelet!
It’s so cool that you can use these materials to make something so far outside the world of cards and papercrafting. Now, let’s see what the rest of the team has created:
