Hey friends!
I’m so excited to share this new card with you featuring one of the adorable foilable pages from the Brutus Monroe Christmas Card Kit. I loved this mitten pattern so much, I just knew I had to get foiling with it!
To start things off, I grabbed my printed cardstock and grabbed my aqua pigments. I used Pink, Violet, and Turquoise for this color combination. I did dilute the colors so they aren’t the true pigmented color variation. They have a softer appearance, which is so pretty!
I added a few drops of each color to my Media Mat and spritzed it with water. I didn’t want to add too much water because I wanted my colors to stay the shades I mixed them. I flipped my cardstock over on top of the liquid watercolors and let the ink cover my paper. I lifted and repeated a few times to get nice coverage, then set my panel aside to dry.
Once my cardstock was dry, I decided to see if I could still foil after using the ink smooshing technique. I’m so happy to report that it works! I pulled out my Mini Minc and foiled the cardstock with Pink Reactive Foil from Heidi Swapp. I thought the pink was perfect – it was a matching color, so it’s subtle but it packs a huge shiny punch when you tilt the card!
I popped the card panel up on fun foam to give it some more interest and then added a heat embossed sentiment from Altenew on black cardstock. I tied some pretty jute twine around the top of my card and then added a few clear rhinestones from the Christmas Card Kit to finish things off.
This is such a pretty combination and I’m thrilled with the way it turned out. Do you love non-traditional Christmas cards or do you prefer to stick with those traditional greens and reds? Let me know down below!
Hugs and love to you,
I LOVE this card, Jess!! And I also love non-traditional colors for Christmas, although I tend to make more with the traditional colors! Thanks for the motivation to go with pinks, and purples and aqua!! 😀

Yay! Sometimes I feel like I should make some traditional cards, but I never end up doing it lol!
