Spellbinders + Fun Stampers Journey!?

Hey friends!

Beginning today (November 1, 2018), Spellbinders and Fun Stampers Journey are coming together to bring you some totally adorable products. Hooray! You’ll be able to find FSJ items right on the Spellbinders website.

In celebration of that, I have an exciting project to share with you featuring the adorable stamp and die set from Fun Stampers Journey – Thankful Friends. This cling foam set is totally cute and the matching dies make assembling your cards a breeze – love it!

To get started, I stamped the fox image from the set on my cardstock in Raven Detail Ink. I cut a mask and layered it on top to preserve his coloring as I made my background.

I chose to use the acorn and leaf images to make my own background. I started with a piece of white cardstock and stamped the acorn repeatedly using Suede Ink from Brutus Monroe. I did the same with the two leaf images – for these I used Maple and Wagon Inks, also from Brutus Monroe. I love how these colors worked so perfectly together to form a gorgeous fall background. To make the background a little more special, I used a Clarity Stencil Brush to add Suede Ink to my entire background.

Next, I stamped and fussy cut the cute scarf image. I colored this using Copic markers and then adhered it to my fox’s neck. How cute is he? He looks like a little hipster fox – just needs a little cup of coffee (which comes in the set by the way LOL) and he’s golden. He was into fall before it was cool.

Next, I cut a piece of black cardstock down and stamped this sweet sentiment using Embossing Ink. I used Gilded Embossing Powder and my Wagner heat tool to emboss it. I popped the sentiment up on foam and tied some gorgeous Gift Twine around the card front for a little extra interest. Those flecks of gold are perfect! To finish off the card, I added a few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold.

I absolutely love this stamp and die combination and I’m so excited to see what comes next now that Spellbinders and Fun Stampers Journey have come together. Hooray for new crafty items!

Hugs and love to you all,
