Brutus Monroe Team Hop – Trick or Treat

Hey friends!

Today is Wednesday, so we’re back with another team hop for Brutus Monroe. Since today is also Halloween, we’re doing a fun Trick or Treat themed hop. I love Halloween! There’s a giveaway, too, so be sure to read all the way through and get the details!

For my card, I started with a few Distress Inks and white cardstock. I blended Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, and Blueprint Sketch to form a spooky night sky. Then, I snagged the Cloud Background stamp from Brutus Monroe and stamped it in Raven Detail Ink.

Next, I stamped and colored the owls from Owl Love You and the awesome Stamp of the Month for October which was the vampire candy corn. Too cute! I used Copic markers to color these. I fussy cut them out and I used a black pen to extend the branch out farther so it would bee the edge of my card front.

I popped the owls up on foam and adhered the candy corn to my card front. I added a few sequins in clear and purple. To finish off the card, I used a white gel pen to write the sentiment, ‘let’s hang out,’ and popped that up on foam as well.

I hope you love the card and that you check out some of the other awesome projects from the team this week.

Jess, had so much fun watching you make this card during the live video. Super cute with the sentiment you added. Thanks for sharing.

Jess, I enjoyed watching you create this card on YouTube. Unfortunately I cannot comment on YouTube for some reason. I wanted to say that you should use the wave stencil for fire out of the dragon’s mouth (cloud stencil). I also think the wavy stencil could give great texture to Santa’s beard.
