Papercraft Business Challenge #11

Hello and happy Fall, y’all!

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year, so I’m thrilled that the theme for October is Halloween/Fall. It’s time for another monthly challenge over at the Papercraft Business Challenge Blog. Be sure to head over and check it out – the prize this month is this awesome set of cloud dies from My Favorite Things!

For this month’s challenge I used products from Brutus Monroe to create a fun Halloween background. I used my Fall ink cubes in Aubergine, Cabbage, Jack O Lantern, and Locomotive for this. I just pressed the ink pad directly onto my card front and alternated the colors to make my colored background. Then, I used the Stamp of the Month for September to stamp out square outlines in a whimsical pattern over top of the ink squares. I used Detail Ink in Raven for this.

Next, I wrote with white gel pen inside each square outline. I wrote out ‘Boo! Happy * Halloween!’ I also snagged the Frightful Friends set from My Favorite Things and stamped a few of the bats for some added interest. To finish off my card, I used embossing ink and Alabaster Embossing Powder to heat set the sentiment, ‘Happy Haunting.’

I love the simplicity of this card and how easy it was to put together. It’s always good to have some quick and simple cards in your arsenal for when you need a card on short notice!

Don’t forget to pop over and check out all of the amazing projects the rest of the Design Team put together for this month’s challenge. You’ll be inspired to enter a card, too!

Hugs and love to you all,
