Hey crafty friends!
Today is the start of a brand new challenge over at the Papercraft Business Challenge Blog. We’re coming in strong with challenge #10 and the theme this month is ‘thank you.’ Everyone can always use more thank you cards!
I snagged this adorable typewriter patterned paper from American Crafts – the paper pad is called ‘True Stories.’ I wanted to make it fit my theme a little more, though, so I grabbed the ‘Thanks & Giving’ set from Honey Bee Stamps and got to work. I actually cut apart my very first stamp to make this happen, you guys. I’m still in shock over it LOL. I cut the ‘thank you’ into two pieces so I could fit it on the paper from the typewriters and them stamped on each paper area. I love it – it looks like the paper came that way!
Next, I grabbed the ‘Just My Type’ stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps and colored it up using my Copic markers. I also snagged a ‘thanks’ stamp from ‘Say Yes to Donuts’ from Neat & Tangled and added that to my typewriter image. It fit so perfectly!
I added a piece of vellum to help mute the background a bit and cut it with one of the stitched rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn. I tied some adorable minty/teal baker’s twine around my card front and then popped the typewriter up on foam for some dimension. I used the Large Thanks die from Honey Bee Stamps for my main sentiment. I love that it comes with the shadow, too. I adhered the sentiment to my card front using Multi Medium (Matte) and then added a few sequins (from the Dollar Tree, y’all!) to finish off my card.
The message on this card is perfectly clear – THANK YOU. I’m sending a huge thank you to those that have followed along on my little crafty journey so far. I hope there are many more exciting things to come in the future!
Hugs and love to you all,
Hey Jess, this is such a delightful thanks card. Love the colours & how you’ve incorporated the typewriter in your background as well as the die cut. OMGosh…you cut your stamp? Haha the things we do lol. Love it!
