Hero Arts Challenge – Sparkle & Shine

Hey y’all!

I’m popping in to share my entry for the current A Blog Named Hero Challenge – Sparkle & Shine. If you know me at all, you know how much I love glittery goodness and sparkling sequins, so this Challenge was calling my name. ✨

For my card, I used the emboss resist technique with the Hero Arts ‘Graphic Leaves’ background. Once my background was heat set with white embossing powder, I grabbed my Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry, Cracked Pistachio, and Seedless Preserves. I love this color combo!

I swiped the ink pads on my media mat and then spritzed them with water. I plopped my cardstock into the ink for some classic ink smooshing. Once my cardstock was dry, I cut it down to around 2 inches wide.

I cut and scored a white card base and got out the Kind Words set from My Favorite Things. I stamped my sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine ink- I love how crips this ink makes my sentiments!

I colored up some leaves from the Beautiful Leaves set from Newton’s Nook with Copic markers and added a few white gel pen accents. I adhered them to my card and then, to really up the sparkle- I sprayed my card front with spray glitter. Coolest invention ever – I wish it showed up in the pictures! To finish off the card, I added a few aqua sequins. Pretty!

Be sure to pop over and check out the challenge before it ends on September 10th. Hugs and love to you all!

I’m also entering this into the Monday challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. The theme is autumn this week- perfect!
