Hey friends!
Today I’m sharing a card I made for the weekly sketch challenge over at the My Favorite Things challenge blog. This week’s sketch (#399) is awesome!
I was inspired to create as soon as I saw this sketch. So many ideas were running through my head!
I started off my card with some emboss resist fun. I grabbed the Small Brick background stamp and my Versamark Ink for this. I used white embossing powder from Ranger and my heat tool to melt the powder. Then I did some focus ink blending in Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I left the rest of my card panel blank and die cut it with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles.
I cut a strip of black cardstock and got out my Mini MISTI for my sentiment stamping. I love this encouraging sentiment from the Bokeh Builder stamp set. I heat embossed the sentiments on two different strips and then cut them to size. I popped up the long sentiment strip on foam for some dimension. Then, I die cut a stitched circle and a sun shape and ink blended them with Mustard Seed and Wild Honey. I popped this up on foam as well and attached the ‘be there’ sentiment.
To finish off my card, I added some clear droplets in the small and large size. I really love how this turned out and I may even make a few more! Pop over to the MFT challenge page and check out the current color challenge as well.
Hugs and love,
Super cute!! Love the embossed and distressed wall. Great take on the sketch.
