Spellbinders Release – New Dies!

Hey crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing a card made using some brand new dies from Spellbinders. Hooray! I’ll be sharing another project using the new dies tomorrow, so be sure to pop back in for more inspiration.

For today’s card, I used one of the smaller squares from the Vintage Stitched Squares set. I love all of the different sizes in this collection. After I ran the die through my Cuttlebug, I got to work on my ink blending. I used Gathered Twigs, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, and Blueprint Sketch.

I also grabbed the new Laced Flowers die from Spellbinders and got a little creative. This is normally a multi layered flower die set, but I wanted grass – so that’s what I made! This would be SO cute as the tops of carrots, too! I used my Mowed Lawn distress ink and applied the ink darker in the center of each flower and lighter towards the edges. After I finished blending, I snipped off each of the petals to make my grass.

I snagged my Mini MISTI and one of my favorite sentiment stamps ever from Honeybee Stamps (Large Thanks). I stamped the sentiment in clear embossing ink and then heat set it with white embossing powder. I did the same thing for the ‘for everything’ sentiment (from Honeybee Stamps – Thanks & Giving).

I popped my card front up on foam for some dimension and then did the same for my black sentiment strip. To finish off the card, I added a few clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh. I love how this card turned out! Be sure to pop over to the Spellbinders website and check out all the new goodies!
