Hey Crafty People!
Today I’m sharing a somewhat clean and simple card that I had a blast making. I have really been digging black and white cards with rainbow pops of color. So pretty!
I started off this card by die cutting the beautiful ‘Outrageous Butterfly’ from Spellbinders in black cardstock. Then, I decided to do a little experimenting. I got out my glossy accents and went. to. town. I covered every single part of this intricate die and then let it sit. That was definitely the hardest part – I’m so impatient!
For the rest of the card- I started with a white piece of cardstock and trimmed a black piece of cardstock at an angle to give a nice contrast in color. On my white piece of cardstock, I used the negative space from my butterfly die as a mask and ink blended Carved Pumpkin and Fossilized Amber with my foam blending tool. Then, I used Multi Medium Matte to adhere my butterfly die cut on top of my ink blended area. I only adhered the center of the butterfly so that I could bend its wings up and give the card an awesome pop of dimension!
I grabbed my favorite Paper Smooches stamp set (Fun and Flirty) for my sentiments and used my Mini MISTI to get it stamped just right. I heat embossed it using VersaMark Ink and white Ranger Embossing Powder. I matted my card front with a bright orange piece of cardstock and then used coordinating Nuvo Crystal Drops in Carnation Pink, Apple Green, and Caribbean Ocean. I also threw in a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. That finished my card!
I hope you love and that it inspires you to make something pretty today!
Hugs and love to you all,
