Summer Card – Spellbinders Die Cut Inlay

Hey guys!

I’m back again today (two days in a row, what!?) to share this pretty card. These colors just scream summer to me and they make my heart so happy!

To get started, I used three of my very favorite Distress Oxides – Peacock Feathers, Abandoned Coral, and Twisted Citron. I blended these three colors together on white cardstock using my foam blending tool.  I die cut this beautiful Side Floral Panel from black cardstock and also from my ink blended panel. I adhered my black die cut piece to a white piece of cardstock and jumped right into the tedious part. I took each tiny piece of negative space out of my ink blended die cut and placed the pieces into the holes of my black die cut piece. I think it looks amazing!

I wanted to give the background a little something extra, so for my  card base I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Doodle Background in Twisted Citron. Then I adhered my card front to the card base. I also snagged one of my favorite stamp sets from SSS, which is the ‘Big Scripty Greetings’ set. I stamped ‘You are awesome’ in Tuxedo Black ink from Memento and added a few white gel pen accents for some extra ‘pop’. Then I finished off the card with some perfectly matched Nuvo Crystal Drops. I used Apple Green, Carnation Pink, and Caribbean Ocean. I love closely the colors match these Distress Oxides. They look great together!

Is this card making you dream of summer? It definitely is doing the trick for me. The bright colors and overall fun vibe make me forget how much I hate the heat and actually consider going to the beach! That’s a big deal for me. 🙂

Hugs to you all,
