Papercraft Business DT Challenge #5 – April 2018

Hey crafty people!

I’m so excited to share that the Papercraft Business Challenge #5 has just gone live! This month, we are doing an ‘anything goes’ theme with an optional ‘birthday theme’ for another entry to win the prize. I have to say, this month’s prize is my favorite so far! I just love this little Lawn Fawn cutie!

I decided to go a little off the beaten path with my card this month. It’s always so hard for me to make ‘masculine’ cards, so I’m always up for a card that fits that category. I decided to use all stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp to make my card. I used ‘Game Tile Letters,’ ‘Doodle Background,’ and ‘Naughty Nautical’ to create this card.

I started off my stamping ‘aww crap’ and ‘I forgot your birthday’ with Tuxedo Black ink from Memento. To make things easier on myself, I used my Mini Misti to position the stamps and get them right where I wanted them.

Next, I snagged my Antique Linen Distress Oxide and stamped the ‘expletive’ stamp from Naughty Nautical a bunch of times in no particular order. I love that you can stamp with the distress oxides and get nice, clean images!

Then, I used the adorable Doodle Background stamp with VersaMark ink. I coated the sticky ink with white embossing powder from Ranger and then heat set it. I used the same Antique Linen distress oxide to blend the edges of my card base. I adhered the front panel to my card base and that completed my card!

Now I’ve got a fun belated birthday card for just about anyone (because let’s face it, when you’re a mom, things sometimes get forgotten!). Yay! What do you think? Is this card to wild for your taste or is it just the right amount of sass? Let me know in the comments!
