Non-Traditional Christmas Card – Let It Snow

Can you believe it’s almost December? I definitely can’t. I keep thinking about how fast this year has flown by and it just keeps going! Phew. I just need time to slow down for a little bit so I can catch my breath!

Okay, so today I’m sharing a card with you that makes my heart smile a little on the inside. I have an (unhealthy?) obsession with llamas, okay? This adorable llama from Lawn Fawn is to die for. AND, I’m officially obsessed with this stitched alpha stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I’ve been wanting this set for a good long while now, so I decided to treat myself to a birthday order from SSS. 🙂 Woohoo!

I started this card off by stamping the letters of ‘snow’ using the stitched alpha stamp set. Then, I snagged two sets from Honey Bee Stamps to form the ‘let it’ portion of my sentiment. I just used words from other sentiments to make it fit what I needed. I colored in the letters using Copic markers.

Then, I used the snowfall background stamp in my Precision Press stamp positioner using ‘Soft Sky‘ ink from Hero Arts. I cut the card front with a stitched rectangle border from Lawn fawn and then used some of their stitched borders to create banks of snow at the bottom of my card.

Next, I colored the cute llama using Copic markers and adhered him to my card front. I add some pink sequins for a pop of color and voila! My card is finished!

Are you ready for snow where you live? Do you already have it now? Let me know what you think about that powdery white stuff!
