Happy Wednesday, y’all!
I’m so happy to share this card with you today, although I could really use some warm vibes. It has suddenly gotten a whole lot cooler where I live and the big change in temperature has me shivering! Brrr! If I’m already cold, though, I might as well share this frosty little card with you.
In my previous post, I shared how I made the snowflakes for this card using a digital stamp from the ‘Gingerbread Lane‘ set. You can check out that post HERE if you’re interested in seeing how it was done (there’s a video!)
I cut a piece of white cardstock using the Fancy Frames Die set from Craftin Desert Divas. This gave the edges some nice faux stitched detailing. I just love how that makes the card look more polished. Next, I took some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and smeared a little on my craft mat. I squeezed a little water out of my water brush and swirled the brush in the ink and the water before applying it to my cardstock in a circular pattern. Once I was happy with the way the ink looked, I used my heat tool to set the color in place. Then, I glued my snowflakes to my card panel.
I also colored up this cute image from the ‘Timber’ stamp set using Copic markers. I used the sentiment ‘you warm my heart’ from the ‘Christmas Wishes’ stamp set and heat embossed it using Ranger’s White Embossing Powder. I matted my panel with navy cardstock and then mounted it on sturdy foam tape. Then (the magical part), I added the brand new Scribble Die from Craftin Desert Divas. I am so in love with this die!
That finished off my card and I’m really happy with the way it turned out. It’s giving me all the winter vibes and, although I don’t like being cold, it’s still a precious card for this time of year.
Thanks, as always, for stopping by. Hope to see you again soon!
