CDD DT – STAMP TEAM GUEST DESIGN #2 – OCTOBER RELEASE

Hey everyone!

I’m back with my second Guest Design project for the stamp team over at Craftin Desert Divas! I am showcasing one of the new stamp sets from the October release, Christmas Wishes.’ This set is just too cute!

For this card, I used the Stitched in Circles Dies to cut a circle out of a piece of cardstock. I used this piece of cardstock as a mask for my card front. I taped the mask over another piece of card stock and used Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves to very lightly blend inside my circle cutout. Next, with the mask still in place, I brushed  the ink blended area with my powder tool to keep embossing powder from sticking where I didn’t want it. I used the Snowflake Flurries stencil and my Embossing Dabber to apply sticky watermark ink to my card. I applied white embossing powder and heat set it.

I removed the mask – just look how crisp and perfect that circle is. It’s like magic! I stamped my sentiment in black ink in the lower corner and cut out my card front using the Fancy Frames Dies.

I colored up this adorable image from the Christmas Wishes stamp set using Copic markers and added some accents with a gel pen. I mounted it on foam tape to give it some dimension and then added a few drops of Nuvo Drops in Wisteria Purple. To finish off my card, I ink blended a mat with Seedless Preserves. This was such a fun card to make!

I hope you’re loving this new release as much as I am. I can’t wait for the ‘Nice List’ set to be back in stock so I can snag one for myself! Eek!

Happy everything!
