Two releases in one month!? I can hardly contain my excitement! This weekend, the Craftin Desert Divas design teams are showcasing the new Holiday Border Dies, a new stamp set, and a few new digital stamps. Eek!
My card today is a bit of a non-traditional spin on a Christmas Card. I don’t know why, but I’ve been really into monochromatic themes lately, and coloring entire images or scenes in only warm grey copic markers. I can’t explain it, but it’s so much fun! ☺️
I started this card off by coloring up my sweet polar bear digital stamp with Copic markers. I grabbed a piece of grey cardstock and used the new Snowflake Flurries stencil to make a tone on tone background using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.
I cut my border from black cardstock to keep up with my black and white sort of theme and hand lettered the sentiment with a white gel pen. Then I used the Fancy Frames Dies to cut the card front and border.
I was happy with the way this card turned out! What do you think about non-traditional Christmas cards? Would you send a card like this for the holidays?
